We distribute all around Australia. We also work with clients internationally and distribute worldwide. (The end of day in New York/London and the beginning of day in Melbourne has proven a great time to meet with clients over Skype.)
Where does Merchgirls manufacture?
Merchgirls manufactures products at a number of factories, depending on the size of the order and the scope and specifications of the job. This includes factories in Australia, Indonesia, China and India.
So I want to make something amazing with Merchgirls. Now what?
Depending on your location or the size of the job, we’ll either set up an in-person, phone or Skype meeting with you to go over your objectives. If you’ve got a budget in mind for the project, or an idea of how much you want to retail your product for, this will help fast-track things, but we can also help you work through this. Contact us and we can go from there!
How is Merchgirls’ pricing structured?
Concept to shelf: we charge a one-off fee for creative concepts and design and then a per-unit cost for production: this price includes the production of the goods, a sample and shipping.
Production only: we charge a product development fee to get your item ready for manufacturing. This cost includes technical drawings, spec-packs, and sourcing the correct fabrics and production house. We then charge a per-unit cost for production of the goods.

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is included in our production fee on a per-unit basis. For larger orders with longer lead times, we ship by sea but for most orders we ship by air. Regardless, this is all included in the production cost: you won’t be hit with a separate fee.
Are there any extra costs I need to know about (like set-up fees, customs duties, royalties, licensing, etc?)
No. Merchgirls only charge for design and production. If you require additional services (things like extra samples or express delivery) we’ll seek your approval on costings before committing to them.
How long does it take to develop a product, from beginning to end?
In short, an early brief is a good brief. To develop a new item(s) for you, from briefing until the product is delivered to your HQ, takes approximately 12 weeks. Extra time also needs to be allowed to ship by sea, for more complicated items, or in busy periods like the lead up to Christmas (September – December).
Merchgirls has an exciting range of product styles we can offer you from our Product Library. This can also make the process a lot simpler and quicker. And remember: we are here to guide you through the process to make the outcome as efficient as possible.
